My family has always congregated in the kitchen. With my Texan dad baking biscuits and my Californian mom cooking up greens, I grew up feeling right at home next to the stove and cutting board. Now that I’m married (to the smartest, most handsome man in the world) and cooking for my own family of two in San Francisco, I love sharing the recipes I dreamt up on the fly or while perusing the farmers market.
Though my parents gave me some solid cooking tips growing up, I mostly taught myself everything via trial-and-error and the blessed internet. Being raised as a vegetarian also taught me to naturally reevaluate recipes and dishes I saw around me – so most recipes here are vegetable-forward (which is a fancy way of saying they’re chockfull of seasonal & fresh veggies, herbs, fruits, and legumes).
Each ingredient is brilliant in its own way, and I love bringing out that beauty through photographs. I’m available for food photography assignments, just click on my portfolio here. If you’re interested in just chatting, feel free to send me an email or to message me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I’m pretty friendly, note the light Texan twang.
